Ellison Wynsma was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She is the second youngest of five kids. It all started when Ellison was four years old and decided to jump into "Twinkle Toes" dance classes, following in her oldest sisters footsteps, who was a dancer and she looked up to very much. She always had a love for preforming for her family. Especially when it came to Hannah Montana as she would call her self  "Hannah Tana". Once Ellison hit nine years old, she decided to put dancing on hold and go the sporty route and give volleyball a try just like her second oldest sister. Her sister was a volleyball star and she looked up to her as well.

      Not after long, she discovered that sports were most definitely not her thing, she went right back to dancing. At eleven, she started taking her training seriously and joined a competitive dance studio. In middle school she became apart of a young competitive team. She continued this journey until her junior year of high-school. During this time at eighteen, she came across The Institute For American Musical Theatre at a dance convention. She had no interest in auditioning for the program as she has had no Musical Theatre exprience and singing was a big no for her. She ended up auditioning anyway after a lot of hesitation and got accepted into their training program in NYC. She decided to see what the school was all about in the summer of 2019 and joined their "Broadway Bootcamp" session.

     Ellison fell in love with everything about the school, program and New York. She only sought out IAMT after her experience. Towards the end of 2020, Ellie packed up and moved to New York City at eighteen. She completed IAMT's two year program training in acting, dancing and singing in the spring of 2022.  She has now completed her third and final year in 2023. Ellison has grown tremendously while living in NYC and has found new love for the industry and preforming arts.
